ASUS and HP problems with Windows 10

Lately since Windows 10 came out people have been having shutdown, reboot and sleep issues with ASUS and HP laptops. The problem is very annoying and makes your system practically a handicapped child, pardon my french.

The problem resides in the Intel Management Engine Interface, that has been upgraded from v9.x.x to 10.x.x or 11.x.x

Just download the 9.x.x version from your manufacturer's website and install the Intel Management Engine Interface driver version from Windows 8. That will do the trick.

If you remain having problems make sure to disable fast startup by doing the following:

1- Open the battery menu from your Notification Area

2-Click Power and Sleep Settings

3- Click on Additional Power Settings

4- Click on "Choose what closing the lid does"

5- Click on "Change settings currently unavailable"

6- Make sure the "Turn on fast startup" checkbox is disabled
